The BrightAP integration that allows sole trader accounts to flow into Individual Tax Returns now extends to Partnership Tax Returns for the 2025/26 tax year. Select the relevant BrightAP partnership account from a dropdown in the return and BrightTax pulls the data across — no manual re-entry. Everything below is live from 8 September 2026. New Feature
BrightAP Partnership Accounts — Direct Import into Partnership Tax Returns
When creating or updating a 2025/26 Partnership Tax Return, a dropdown list of your linked BrightAP partnership accounts is now available. Select the matching account and BrightTax pulls the data across automatically — following the same mechanism as the existing sole trader ITR integration. There is no limit on the number of BrightAP partnership accounts that can be linked, and earlier years continue to use manual entry as before. BrightTax (UK) · 2025/26 only

A dropdown of your linked BrightAP partnership accounts now appears in the 2025/26 Partnership Tax Return. Select the matching account and BrightTax fetches the data automatically — no manual re-entry required.

The BrightAP import is available on 2025/26 (PTR 2026) Partnership Tax Returns only. Earlier tax year returns continue to use manual entry as before.

No limit on linked BrightAP partnership accounts
There is no limit on the number of BrightAP partnership accounts that can be linked to BrightTax. All your partnership accounts are available from the dropdown regardless of how many you have.

Works alongside the backing schedules print
This feature works in combination with the Partnership Tax Return backing schedules print released on 29 September — import from BrightAP, complete the return, print with schedules, then submit.
