| Overview |
You can invite colleagues and team members to your BrightHub organisation from the Members page. Once invited, they will receive an email to set up or log in with their BrightID and gain access to the products you assign them.
| Before You Begin |
- You must have Owner or Admin permissions to invite new members.
- Ensure you have enough user licences for the products you want to assign. Your remaining licences are shown on the invite screen.
- If you need additional licences, see Adding Additional User Licences before inviting.
| How to Invite a New Member |
- Log in to BrightHub at hub.brightsg.com.
- Select Members from the left-hand navigation.
- Click the Invite button in the top-right corner of the Members page.
- The Invite Members window opens. Complete the following fields:
- Email Address — enter the email address of the person you want to invite.
- Role — select Admin or User (see Roles section below for guidance).
- Assign Products — select the products this member should be able to access.
- Click Send. The member will receive an email invitation to join your organisation.
| ✔ Tip: You can invite multiple members at once by adding multiple email addresses in the invite window. |
| Understanding Roles |
| Role | Access Level | What They Can Do |
|---|---|---|
| Owner | Full access | All Admin permissions plus ability to transfer ownership and delete the organisation |
| Admin | Full access | Manage subscriptions, members, billing, and all BrightHub pages |
| User | Restricted access | Dashboard and assigned products only — cannot view billing or manage the organisation |
| ⚠ Important: The User role restrictions apply within BrightHub. Access permissions within individual products (such as BrightTax) are managed separately within each product. |
| What Happens After the Invitation is Sent |
- The invited member receives an email from Bright with a link to accept the invitation.
- If they do not already have a BrightID, they will be prompted to create one using the invited email address.
- Once accepted, they will appear in your Members list with an Active status.
- Until they accept, their status will show as Invited — you can resend or cancel the invitation from the Members page.
| Troubleshooting |
The member has not received their invitation email
- Ask them to check their spam or junk folder for an email from Bright.
- Return to the Members page, find the member showing as Invited, click Manage, and select Resend Invitation.
I cannot assign a product to the new member
- You may not have enough user licences for that product. Your remaining licence count is shown on the invite screen.
- To add more licences, see Adding Additional User Licences.
I sent the invitation to the wrong email address
- Return to the Members page, find the member showing as Invited, click Manage, and select Cancel Invitation.
- Then resend the invitation to the correct email address.
